Description

• The Senior Credit Underwriter (VP) role is a key position in our Credit team responsible for undertaking and presenting robust credit risk analysis in support of relationship-led loan requests from Commercial Real Estate (CRE) team. • The role will focus on CRE with an emphasis on transitional, dealing with the most complex transactions and coaching less experienced underwriters. • Duties include comprehensive financial and credit risk analysis, deep understanding of credit risks and mitigants, working collaboratively with Lending Officers, ensuring compliance and policies, providing guidance and oversight for more junior credit underwriters, assisting in completing reports, gathering information for audits, leading ad hoc credit risk projects, and more.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance; or equivalent experience • Minimum 7 years in credit related field, preferably in a banking environment with CRE lending • Strong analytical / financial modeling skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills; work collaboratively and with integrity with key internal and external stakeholders • Strong team player with desire to develop and coach less experienced members of the team • Working knowledge of all MS Office Suite products and appetite to learn core database management programs.
